- Articles are written in book Antiqua, size 12, spaced 1.5, max 25 pages. download fonts here. The text of the qur'an or hadith is written in Traditional Arabic font, size 18, and spaced 2.
- Articles are written in good and correct Indonesian.
- The writing of foreign words that have not been absorbed in English is written in italics. Especially for foreign words from Arabic, written with the arabic standard of ALA-LC romanization.
- The number of pages of articles in this journal is a minimum of 25 pages. Every article published in Nabawi: Journal of Hadith Studies must comply with the standard rules in this guide.
Article Framework consists of:
- Title;
- Abstract;
- Introduction that contain Background, Method, and (if needed) Theoretical Framework;
- Results and Discussion;
- Conclusion;
- References.
Research Title
The Title Should Not Exceed 15 Words; It Should Be Clear, Concise, And Informative. Abbreviations Should Be Avoided (Garamond, Bold, 14 Pt, Not All Capital)
Author Information Requirements
- A maximum of six (6) authors is allowed.
- The manuscript must have more than one author; single-author submissions are not permitted.
- Please provide the authors’ full names correctly and consistently.
- Please include the complete affiliation for each author, including the institution and relevant department/program, if applicable.
- Please provide a valid email address for each author.
- Ensure that the author names, affiliations, and email addresses are accurate and correspond to the information provided in the manuscript.
Abstract (in Indonesia and English Lenguage)
The abstract should be fully justified as this paragraph is a stand-alone, meaning no citation should be attached. Additionally, it should provide concise information to the readers regarding the purpose, methods, findings, and results. The abstract should only be typed in a single paragraph and a single-column format and consist of 150-250 words. (11 pt, single line spacing, 1 paragraph).
Keywords: A maximum of 5 keywords separated by a semicolon (;), crucial to the appropriate indexing of the papers, are to be given. Example: Hadith; Al-Mu’tabar; social; Sunnah (Garamond, 11 pt)
Introduction
The introduction must be written using Garamond font, size 12, with 1.15 line spacing. It should contain the background of the research problem being discussed and clearly explain the objectives of the study. The article should consist of a minimum of 6,000 to 8,000 words, following the official journal article template that has been provided.
All citations and references must be managed using a reference manager (Zotero or Mendeley) to ensure accuracy and consistency in citation formatting. For Arabic text, authors are required to use the Arabic Traditional font, with font size 14 and line spacing 1.5.
إِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ، وَإنَّمَا لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مَا نَوَى
Literature Review (Not a theoretical study)
This literature review must explain the development of previous research and discuss a minimum of four (4) and a maximum of six (6) prior studies. Each study should include information about the author, title, research method, theory, results, and findings. The author is also required to explain the research gap identified from these previous or relevant studies. The reviewed literature must be drawn from research conducted within the last ten (10) years to ensure the relevance and currency of the analysis.
Example of writing format:
This study discusses [insert research topic], and based on the literature review, [insert number] relevant publications were found.
First, the study by Edriagus Saputra (2024) entitled “[Insert Title]” utilized [insert method], based on [insert theoretical framework]. The results and findings showed that [insert findings briefly].
Next, [Second author’s name and year] in a study titled “[Insert Title]” employed [method] using [theory], and revealed that [findings].
The same structure should be followed for subsequent studies, until the discussion of at least four and at most six previous studies is completed.
Finally, the author should summarize the analysis by identifying the research gaps found in the reviewed literature, highlighting what aspects have not yet been adequately addressed or explored. These gaps then serve as the rationale for conducting the current research, demonstrating its novelty, significance, and contribution to the field. The maximum allowable plagiarism check result is 20%.
Research Method
This section describes the method used by the author in conducting the research. The research method should include information about the type or design of the study, the approach applied, the informants or respondents, as well as the data collection techniques, data analysis procedures, and the process of drawing research conclusions.
The Research Method section should not discuss definitions or include any citations or references. It must focus solely on explaining the practical procedures and methodological steps carried out by the researcher during the study.
RESULT AND DISCUSSION
- First Subtheme
There is no need to write main section titles for "Result" and "Discussion"; only the subsection titles should be included. The "Result" and "Discussion" sections consist of subsections. The author should explain the research results (what was discovered) in detail. The research result and discussion section contain the results of the research findings and their ensuing discussions. The findings acquired from the results of the conducted research should be written with the supplementary support of adequate data. The research results and findings should be able to resolve or provide explanations for the question stated in the introduction.

Conclusion
The conclusion should briefly describe the results and findings of the research, written in a single paragraph without using numbered or lettered points (such as 1, 2, 3 or a, b, c). However, if the author needs to explain several key points of the research findings, the paragraph should use transitional words such as first, second, third, and so on.
References
The references must correspond exactly to the sources cited within the article manuscript. Both the in-text citations and the reference list must be managed using a reference management application such as Zotero or Mendeley, following the Chicago Manual of Style, 18th Edition (footnote format).
The article must include a minimum of 20 references, consisting of sources published within the last ten (10) years. Each citation and reference entry must include the specific page number(s) from which the information was taken.
