Al-Mu’tabar is a peer-reviewed academic journal established in 2021 by the Department of Hadith Studies, Faculty of Ushuluddin, Humanities, and Da’wah, State Islamic Institute (STAIN) Mandailing Natal, North Sumatra, Indonesia. Published biannually in January and July, Al-Mu’tabar serves as a scholarly platform that promotes the study of Hadith from various academic perspectives. The journal aims to foster critical and in-depth discussions around Hadith and its relevance in both classical and contemporary contexts.

The scope of Al-Mu’tabar includes a wide range of topics related to Hadith studies, such as linguistic, literary, and thematic perspectives of the Hadith; Hadith commentaries; comparative studies between the Hadith and other religious traditions; methodologies and approaches in Hadith research; the societal role of Hadith (Societal Hadith); translation and interpretation of Hadith texts; historical dimensions of the Hadith; and the concept of Living Hadith, which explores the practical implementation of Hadith in daily life.
