PERKEMBANGAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA YANG MENGALAMI PENURUNAN KUALITAS BELAJAR
Abstract
Learning motivation plays a crucial role in determining student learning outcomes. This study aims to identify the relationship between learning motivation and student performance in schools. Based on a comprehensive literature review and data analysis, it was found that students with high learning motivation tend to achieve better academic results compared to their less motivated peers. A decline in a student's learning quality, often attributed to low motivation, can serve as a significant indicator of the importance of support from teachers, friends, and family in fostering a positive learning environment. Students experiencing decreased motivation frequently feel lethargic, pessimistic, and lack confidence, despite possessing considerable potential. This decline in motivation adversely affects the quality of their work, which tends to be slow and suboptimal. However, with consistent support in the form of encouragement, motivation, and attention from their surroundings, students' learning motivation can be revitalized. This study also identifies factors contributing to a lack of learning motivation and highlights the positive effects of social reinforcement and positive feedback on enhancing student motivation and academic outcomes.
