Al-Mu'tabar is a scientific jo researchers, and socio-religious researchers to socialize the developmurnal that aim to promotes and expands the use of hadith by providing a medium for scholars, hadithent of methods for understanding and applying hadith.

This ethical statement of scientific publication is a statement of the code of ethics for all parties involved in publishing this scientific journal, namely managers, editors, review partners, and authors. This code of ethics upholds three ethical values in publications:

1. Neutrality, free from conflicts of interest in the management. 
2. justice, namely granting authorship rights to those entitled to become authors; 
3. Honesty, which is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism in publications.

A. Journal Manager Duties and Responsibilities

1. Determine the journal's name, scientific scope, periodicity, and application for accreditation if needed. Determine the membership of the editorial board.
2. Determine the position of publishers, editors, reviewers, and other parties in a contract.
3. Appreciate confidential things for researchers, authors/writers, editors, and review partners.
4. Implement norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright.
5. Conduct a review of the journal's policy and submit it to the authors/authors, the editorial board, reviewers, and readers.
6. Create guidelines for rules and ethics of conduct for editors and review partners.
7. Publish journals regularly.
8. Ensure the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publications.
9. Building a collaborative network of research institutes and related agencies
10. Prepare permits and other legal aspects.

B. Editor's Duties and Responsibilities

1. Meeting the needs of readers and writers, seeking to improve the quality of publications on an ongoing basis,
2. Implement processes to ensure the quality of published papers,
3. Prioritizing freedom of opinion objectively,
4. Maintain the integrity of the author's academic track record,
5. Submit corrections, clarifications, and apologies if needed,
6. Responsible for the style and format of writing scientific papers, while the content and all statements in the written work are the author's responsibility.
7. Actively solicit the opinions of authors, readers, review partners, and members of the editorial board to improve the quality of publications,
8. Conduct periodic internal evaluations of the quality of scientific journals
9. Support the author's initiative on publication ethics by including a clearance form in every manuscript submission
10. Open-minded to new opinions or views of others that may conflict with personal perception for the advancement of science,
11. Avoid objective decisions by not defending their own opinions, authors, or third parties by seeking scientifically justifiable solutions,
12. Encourage writers to improve their writings until they are worthy of publication.

C. Duties and Responsibilities of Peer Reviewers

1. Review the manuscript and provide the editor with the results of the review, as a basis for determining the suitability of the work for publication.
2. Peer reviewers shall not conduct a scientific review of a manuscript in which they are directly or indirectly involved.
3. Provide constructive suggestions, feedback, and positive recommendations for the academic manuscript.
4. Maintain the author's privacy by not disseminating the results of the corrections, suggestions, and recommendations for a particular manuscript.
5. Encourage the author to make improvements to the manuscript.
6. Re-review the revised manuscript to ensure it meets the established standards.
7. Review the manuscript in a timely manner, in accordance with the publication's style and guidelines, based on scientific principles (data collection methods, author credentials, conclusions, etc.).

D. Duties and Responsibilities of the Author

1. Ensuring that those included in the list of authors have met the criteria as authors,
2. Collectively responsible for the work and content of the article including the methods, analysis, calculations, and details.
3. Declare the source of resources (including funding, if any), both directly and indirectly.
4. Explain the limitations in the research.
5. Respond to comments made by peer reviewers and editorial boards in a professional, scientific, and timely manner.
6. Inform the editor in writing if they will withdraw their work.
7. Make a statement that the written work submitted for publication is original, has never been published anywhere in any language, and is not in the process of being submitted to another publisher.
8. This statement is based on the Code of Ethics for Scientific Publication by Indonesian Goverment (Perka LIPI No 5 Tahun 2014).

E. Authorship and Contributorship

1. All authors to have made substantial contributions to the research and manuscript and to be accountable for the content.
2. Those substantial contributions include the conception or design of the work, data acquisition, analysis and interpretation of data, drafting or revising the manuscript, and final approval of the version to be published.
3. All authors are expected to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the work.

F. Complaints and Appeals

Complaints 

1. Any party may submit a written complaint regarding published content, editorial processes, or other journal operations.
2. Complaints should be sent to the Editor-in-Chief through email: [email protected], providing full details and supporting evidence for the concern.
3. The editorial team will conduct a thorough and impartial investigation of all complaints.

Investigation Process

1. Complainant will receive an acknowledgment of receipt within 7 days.
2. Investigation will be led by the Editor-in-Chief or assigned editor not involved in the original matter.
3. Relevant individuals may be contacted to obtain additional information.
4. Investigation will be completed within 30 days of receipt when possible.

Response

1. Complainant will be notified of the investigation findings in writing.
2. Appropriate actions will be taken, such as corrections, retractions, or other remedies.
3. Complainant has the right to request reconsideration by the Editor-in-Chief.

Appeals

1. Authors or readers may appeal editorial decisions in writing to the Editor-in-Chief.
2. Appeals must provide a detailed rationale for reconsideration of the matter.
3. An independent appeals committee will review the case and investigation materials.
4. The committee decision will be communicated to the appellant and considered final.

G. Conflicts of Interest/Competing Interests

1. Authors must disclose any financial, personal or professional conflicts
2. Editors and reviewers must also disclose conflicts and recuse if necessary
3. Ensures impartiality and avoids undue influences

H. Data Sharing and Reproducibility

1. Encourages data and protocol deposition in recognized repositories
2. Supports sharing of detailed methodologies to facilitate reproducibility

2. Investigates misconduct like plagiarism or fabrication
• The author should ensure originality article/paper before submission,
• The section editor should check the article for plagiarism with plagiarism checker or turnitin before review stage and after revision. 
• The plagiarism/similarity result should below 25%.
3. Assesses manuscripts based on merit and ethics

• Consent to publication:
  Ensuring appropriate consent from individuals or institutions before publishing content.
  Respecting the rights and privacy of those involved.

• Publication on vulnerable populations:
  Providing special protections for vulnerable populations such as children, the elderly, and marginalized groups.
  Minimizing risks and maximizing benefits for vulnerable populations.

• Ethical conduct of research using animals:
  Adhering to ethical protocols and guidelines in conducting research using animals.
  Minimizing animal suffering and using alternatives where feasible.

  Ensuring confidentiality of data and protecting participants' rights.

  Maintaining the confidentiality and security of sensitive data.

J. Intellectual Property Policy

1. Authors retain copyright while granting non-exclusive distribution rights
2. Does not tolerate plagiarism or unauthorized copyright use

 

 

K. Post-Publication Discussions and Corrections

1. Readers and researchers are encouraged to openly discuss published articles through any public platform.
2. Interested parties may engage in open discussion of articles on any available public platforms. The journal does not directly facilitate forums but supports respectful scholarly exchange.
3. Individuals who identify errors or inaccuracies in published work should email the Editor.
4. The Editor will consider errors and determine the appropriate method of correction, such as publishing an erratum, corrigendum, or new article.
5. Corrections will include links to the original article to ensure an accurate scholarly record.
6. We welcome feedback to strengthen post-publication processes and ensure fair discussion.
