As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

1. General Information
J-Mabisya: Journal of Islamic Business and Management is a peer-reviewed and open-access journal published by the Department of Islamic Business Management, State Islamic Institute (STAIN) Mandailing Natal, Indonesia. The journal publishes scholarly articles in the fields of Islamic business, entrepreneurship, and management. Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished manuscripts that have not been submitted elsewhere.
J-Mabisya publishes two issues annually — in June and December. All submissions will be reviewed using a double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and integrity.
2. Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts should be submitted electronically through the Online Journal System (OJS) at the journal’s official website.
The manuscript must be prepared in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx).
Authors must ensure that the submitted work is free from plagiarism (maximum similarity index: 25%).
Manuscripts may be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia using academic language and proper grammar.
3. Manuscript Structure
Each manuscript must contain the following components:

Include full name(s), institution, and email address. One author should be designated as the corresponding author.
Abstract
Written in English and Bahasa Indonesia (150–250 words each), summarizing the purpose, method, results, and conclusion. Include 3–5 keywords.
Introduction
Explains background, research gap, objectives, and significance of the study, supported by recent references.
Literature Review / Theoretical Framework
Discusses relevant theories and previous studies that support the research.
Research Method
Describes the design, population/sample, data collection, and analysis techniques used.
Results and Discussion
Presents research findings supported by tables, figures, and in-depth discussion linking theory and empirical results.
Conclusion and Recommendations
Summarizes key findings and provides practical or theoretical implications.
References
Must follow the APA 7th edition citation style and include only sources cited in the text. Use a reference manager such as Mendeley or Zotero.

5. Tables and Figures
Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).
Each table/figure must have a clear title and source (if applicable).
All visuals should be presented in black and white for print clarity and embedded in the text near their first mention.
6. Citation and References
Authors must use the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition referencing style.
In-text citations should follow the format (Author, Year), e.g., (Kotler & Keller, 2019).
References should be listed alphabetically at the end of the manuscript.
Authors are encouraged to cite at least 50% recent references (last 5 years) and prioritize journal articles over other sources.

7. Ethical Considerations
Authors must ensure that their manuscript represents original work and has not been published elsewhere.
All authors must have significantly contributed to the research and approved the final version.
Any potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed.
Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism or unethical practices will be immediately rejected.
8. Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to J-Mabisya undergo a double-blind peer-review process, involving at least two reviewers. The review process evaluates:
Originality and relevance of the topic.
Clarity of objectives and argumentation.
Theoretical and methodological rigor.
Contribution to the field of Islamic business and management.
The review process typically takes 4–8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the quality of submission.
9. Publication Fee
Currently, no Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied. Publication in J-Mabisya is free of charge for both local and international authors.
10. Copyright and Licensing
Authors retain copyright under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY-SA 4.0) license, allowing others to share and adapt the work with proper attribution.
