Withdrawal of Manuscript Policy

Religious, Social and Cultural (JRSC) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, academic integrity, and transparency throughout the editorial and peer-review processes. Authors are therefore expected to submit manuscripts responsibly and to comply with the journal's publication policies.

1. Conditions for Manuscript Withdrawal

Authors who wish to withdraw a submitted manuscript must provide a legitimate reason for the withdrawal. Manuscript withdrawal may be considered in circumstances such as substantial errors in the submitted work, ethical concerns, duplicate submission, or other reasonable grounds that justify withdrawal.

Authors are strongly encouraged to carefully review their manuscripts before submission to avoid unnecessary withdrawal requests.

2. Withdrawal Procedure

Authors who wish to withdraw their manuscripts must submit a formal written request to the editorial office of JRSC through the journal's official communication channels or submission system. The request must include the manuscript title, manuscript identification number (if available), the names of all authors, and a clear explanation of the reason for withdrawal.

The corresponding author is responsible for submitting the withdrawal request and confirming that all co-authors agree to the withdrawal.

A manuscript will be considered officially withdrawn only after written confirmation has been issued by the editorial office.

3. Withdrawal During the Review Process

Authors are discouraged from withdrawing manuscripts while the manuscripts are undergoing editorial assessment or peer review unless there are valid and compelling reasons.

The editorial office will review each withdrawal request and may seek clarification from the corresponding author before making a decision. Authors must not assume that a manuscript has been withdrawn until official confirmation has been received.

4. Duplicate Submission and Ethical Considerations

JRSC does not permit simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to multiple journals. Authors who submit a manuscript to another journal without first obtaining confirmation of withdrawal from JRSC may be considered in violation of publication ethics.

Such cases may be handled in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies and applicable guidelines from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

5. Withdrawal After Acceptance or Publication

Requests to withdraw a manuscript after acceptance will be considered only under exceptional circumstances and must be supported by a clear justification.

Once an article has been published, it cannot ordinarily be withdrawn as though it had never been published. If serious errors, research misconduct, or other significant ethical concerns are identified, the journal will assess the case and determine whether a correction, retraction, or another appropriate editorial action is necessary.

Any post-publication action will be handled transparently and in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.

6. Author Responsibilities

All authors are responsible for ensuring that withdrawal requests are submitted in good faith and comply with the journal's policies. Authors must not use withdrawal requests to manipulate the peer-review process, avoid legitimate editorial decisions, or facilitate duplicate publication.

JRSC reserves the right to investigate suspected violations of publication ethics and to take appropriate action when necessary.

7. Editorial Authority

The editorial board of JRSC has the authority to evaluate manuscript withdrawal requests and determine the appropriate course of action based on the circumstances of each case, the journal's policies, and accepted standards of publication ethics.

The journal is committed to handling all withdrawal requests fairly, consistently, and transparently while respecting the rights and responsibilities of authors, reviewers, editors, and readers.
