Serambi Madina: Journal of Islamic Studies is an academic journal committed to advancing Islamic scholarship in a comprehensive, in-depth, and contemporary manner. Published by STAIN Mandailing Natal, this journal serves as an open platform for researchers, scholars, and practitioners to present their best scientific work and engage in discussions on emerging issues in the fields of Islamic Education, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education, Hadith Studies, Qur’anic and Tafsir Studies, Islamic Law, as well as Islamic Social, Tradition, and Cultural Studies. With a strong commitment to integrative perspectives and high scientific standards, Serambi Madina applies a rigorous and objective review process for every manuscript, including similarity checks with a maximum tolerance of 25%, in accordance with scholarly publication standards. Serambi Madina: Journal of Islamic Studies was established under the auspices of the State Islamic College of Mandailing Natal, located in Mandailing Natal Regency, North Sumatra, Indonesia. Mandailing Natal—long known as the “Gateway to Mecca” in North Sumatra—carries a rich religious and intellectual heritage that has become a strong source of inspiration for the birth of this dignified scholarly platform.
Founded on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, coinciding with the celebration of National Teachers’ Day of the Republic of Indonesia, the journal stands as a tribute to the noble role of educators who serve as pillars of the nation’s progress. This historic moment underscores that education, knowledge, and the dedication of teachers are the essential foundations of a thriving civilization.
