Plagiarism

Manuscripts submitted to JEEL: Journal of English Education and Linguistics are systematically screened for both plagiarism and self-plagiarism using iThenticate software. Based on the degree of originality and the similarity index with existing sources (with a maximum threshold of 20%), the Managing Editor determines whether the manuscript should be rejected outright, returned to the authors for further clarification, or advanced to the double-blind peer review process.

Authors are expected to ensure that their submissions are entirely original. Any use of ideas, data, or wording from other sources must be appropriately acknowledged through proper citation or quotation. Plagiarism may manifest in various forms, including but not limited to the misappropriation of another author’s work as one’s own, the unacknowledged reproduction or close paraphrasing of substantial portions of existing literature, or the false attribution of research findings. Such practices constitute serious violations of academic integrity and are considered unethical and unacceptable in scholarly publishing.
