Abstrak

Studi living quran merupakan wilayah kajian baru dalam studi al-Qur’an yang tidak ditemukan dalam khazanah intelektualisme Islam klasik maupun pertengahan. Sarjana Muslim Indonesia memperlihatkan ketertarikannya terhadap wacana kajian ini di berbagai karya tulis akademik. Untuk melihat tren pemahaman al-Qur’an masyarakat Indonesia, penulis terdorong untuk meneliti karya-karya akademik yang lahir yang bahasan utamanya adalah living quran dalam konteks Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode tinjauan literatur sistematis (systematic literature review) dengan langkah-langkah yang telah dirumuskan secara ilmiah. Hasil penelitin menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat telah mengejawantahkan teks suci ke dalam berbagai wadah yang menunjukkan keberagaman jenis entitas sosial yang menghidupkan al-Qur’an. Faktor yang melatarbelakangi bentuk pengamalan al-Qur’an pun tidak tunggal, bergantung kepada intensi internalisasi pesan ilahi dalam diri setiap insan. Dari aspek metodologis, kajian dengan objek al-Qur’an yang hidup di masyarakat memerlukan intensifikasi perangkat ilmiah karena keterbatasan metode penelitian yang diterapkan oleh para peneliti.
