Abstract

Penelitian ini mengulas dinamika kurikulum pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Pendekatan penelitian ini menggunakan Library research dengan menelusuri dokumen terkait catatan historis tentang perkembangan kurikukulum pendidikan Islam di Indonesia, baik berupa Jurnal, Buku, berita, atau manuskrip terkait. Dalam catatan historis, ditemukan bahwa Setelah kemerdekaan Indonesia, pemerintah mulai memberikan perhatian serius pada pendidikan agama, baik di sekolah negeri maupun swasta, dengan mengakui peran penting madrasah dan pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan berbasis masyarakat. Hal ini dimulai dengan rekomendasi BPKNIP tahun 1945 dan pembentukan Departemen Agama pada 1946, yang mengelola pendidikan agama melalui Japenda. Undang-Undang No. 4 Tahun 1950 menjadi dasar sistem pendidikan nasional, menetapkan pendidikan agama di sekolah negeri dan memberikan dukungan untuk guru dan materi ajar. Reformasi pendidikan berlanjut dengan Surat Keputusan Bersama (SKB) 1951 dan pengakuan terhadap madrasah melalui SKB Tiga Menteri pada 1975, yang menyetarakan jenjang pendidikan madrasah dengan sekolah umum. Era reformasi semakin memperkuat posisi pendidikan Islam dengan diintegrasikannya pesantren, Ma’had Ali, Raudhatul Athfal, dan majelis taklim dalam sistem pendidikan nasional melalui Undang-Undang No. 20 Tahun 2003, yang menghapus diskriminasi terhadap lembaga pendidikan Islam. Puncaknya, Undang-Undang No. 18 Tahun 2019 memberikan pengakuan formal terhadap pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan berkualitas, menandai langkah penting dalam integrasi pendidikan Islam ke dalam sistem nasional yang inklusif dan holistik.
