Open Access Policy

Qaulan: Jurnal Komunikasi dan Penyiaran Islam is committed to providing immediate and unrestricted Open Access to all published articles. The journal believes that freely accessible scholarly knowledge supports the development of research, education, academic collaboration, and wider public engagement.

All published articles are freely available online without subscription, registration, or access fees. Readers may access, read, download, copy, share, and reuse published articles in accordance with the applicable Creative Commons license.

1. OPEN ACCESS MODEL

Qaulan operates under a Gold Open Access model. All articles are made openly accessible immediately upon publication.

Readers do not need to pay subscription or access fees to read the journal's content.

2. COPYRIGHT AND LICENSE

Authors retain copyright of their published articles and grant the journal the right of first publication.

Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, unless otherwise stated.

Under this license, users may:

  • Read and download articles.
  • Copy and redistribute articles.
  • Share articles through academic and non-commercial platforms.
  • Adapt, remix, and build upon published material.
  • Reuse the material for commercial or non-commercial purposes.

Users must provide appropriate attribution to the original author(s), cite the original publication, provide a link to the license, and indicate whether changes were made.

3. AUTHOR RIGHTS

Authors retain the right to:

  • Share their published articles.

4. ACCESS TO PUBLISHED CONTENT

All published articles are permanently intended to remain openly accessible through the journal's online platform.

There is no subscription requirement for readers.

The journal aims to preserve published articles as part of the permanent scholarly record and may use appropriate digital preservation and archiving mechanisms.

5. ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGE

Open Access publication is supported through the journal's Article Processing Charge (APC) policy.

For Indonesian authors, the APC is:

IDR 300,000 per accepted article.

For international authors, the APC is:

FREE / USD 0.

There is no submission fee, and manuscripts that are rejected are not charged an APC.

Payment of an APC does not influence peer-review outcomes or editorial decisions.
