Focus and Scope

Uqubah: Journal of Islamic Law publishes original research articles that make significant theoretical, doctrinal, empirical, comparative, historical, and interdisciplinary contributions to the study and development of Islamic law. The journal welcomes scholarly works that examine both classical and contemporary legal issues from local, national, regional, and global perspectives.

The journal covers, but is not limited to, the following areas:

It welcomes scholarly works that examine both classical and contemporary issues of Islamic law, offering innovative perspectives and meaningful contributions to the development of Islamic legal scholarship in diverse legal, social, and global contexts.
